The Dunns

A hamper of locally sourced produce and fresh seasonal flowers welcome you as you arrive into a beautifully inviting open-plan space. Thoughtfully finished with local artwork, Scandi-homewares and interiors books and with patio doors that look out to the sunny garden.

A dark blue Scandi-style Naked kitchen is kitted out with everything you might need to cook up a feast, make a picnic or just enjoy a simple pot of tea. Sit by the large sunny window in the cosy lounge or snuggle up by the wood burner after a long walk. Read that book you’ve been meaning to. Devour a magazine. Or play a game from the thoughtfully stocked games cupboard. 

Wake up to floor to ceiling views across the fields to the river in the stunning main bedroom. Pause with your morning coffee or enjoy breakfast in bed. And open the balcony doors to start your day with birdsong and views across the rooftops to the castle. 

Across the landing is the main bathroom.  A soothing space with clean lines, rainfall shower and a large freestanding bath with skylight views of the starry skies above.

A second bedroom is downstairs and can be arranged as a twin or a super king. A calming space decorated in muted tones that glow in the evening sunshine. An en-suite with striking peacock green tiles and a rainfall shower leads off the bedroom. 

The Dunns is just a short stroll to local pubs, the Butley Orford Oysterage Restaurant, Pump St Bakery, river walks, Orford quay and the village shop.

The parking bay for The Dunns is on the right-hand side at the bottom of the drive. You’re welcome to temporarily park your car directly outside The Dunns whilst loading or unloading but please move your car to the parking bay afterwards as the driveway is also used by our sister property - The Curious Oyster - situated behind The Dunns.

As you enter the village of Orford you’ll pass a fire station on your right and shortly after there is a school on the right. Take a right turn here and continue to the end of this road that brings you to the village square.

Take a right turn and pass the Crown & Castle on your left with Orford Castle straight ahead. Follow the road round to the left and then take the first right and then turn directly right again into the driveway - signposted The Dunns and The Curious Oyster.
